Cameleo CME is Quebec’s leading provider of live and accredited continuing medical education trips around the globe for physicians. Since 2006, more than 5,000 Canadian physicians have travelled and learned with us. With a dynamic, seasoned team of speakers from in and outside Canada, we plan CME activities in venues that are sometimes exotic, always exceptional, and never boring. We bring the same creativity to organizing exciting social activities, fascinating tours, and themed dinners outside the classroom that could never be experienced when travelling alone. Founded by Gabriel Boisjoly and Julien Martel, Cameleo CME is also a licensed travel agency, proudly serving physicians across Canada in English and French.
Boisjoly and Martel originally founded Santé inc. magazine in 2004, a French medical journal and today’s most-read medical journal among Quebec physicians. At the magazine’s helm for seven years as editors-in-chief and publishers, they were behind a number of hard-hitting pieces with major implications for the medical community on topics such as physicians’ health, breaking taboos around doctors’ desire to get paid what they’re worth, democracy within their unions, etc. The duo also founded and originally edited NEW IN PRACTICE: What medical residents need to know before entering practice, today’s leading publication for medical residents. In 2007, Santé inc. magazine was purchased by the Canadian Medical Association and has been run by a different team since 2011.
The events designed by Cameleo CME are not organized tours or group vacations. Our approach is that participants should not be tied to a schedule of specific activities during the duration of their trip, unless they choose to be. Participants are free to explore a destination at their leisure. Group activities and guided tours are available for participants who would rather have a more structured experience or for those who want to pick and choose. These optional activ- ities are organized by our team with the help of local, English speaking professionals. But all participants will have many opportunities to network and socialize at meetings, special dinners, and themed events.
Our team personally visits every destination to assess the quality of the products we will offer. This allows us to create a strong relationship with our local partners that will be welcoming our clients months later. These personal connections and our extensive knowledge of the target market allows us to discover specialty venues and areas, often inaccessible to the public, as well as create truly memorable events.
